호주 태권도장서 한인 일가족 사망…경찰 “치정 살인 의심”

호주 시드니의 태권도장에서 7세 어린이를 포함한 한인 가족이 살해된 사건이 발생했다. 현지 언론에 따르면 경찰은 치정에 의한 살인 가능성을 수사 중인 것으로 알려졌다.

20일(현지시간) 일간 디오스트레일리안과 데일리 메일 등에 따르면 이날 오전 10시15분쯤 시드니 북서부 볼크햄힐스의 주택에서 남성 조모 씨가 흉기로 중상을 입고 숨져있는 것을 신고를 받고 출동한 현지 경찰이 발견했다.

경찰은 이어 오후 1시쯤 이곳과 가까운 노스 파라마타의 한 태권도장에서 흉기에 찔려 숨진 40대 여성과 일곱살짜리 어린 남자아이의 시신이 발견됐다.

수사 결과 볼크햄힐스의 주택은 숨진 조씨 소유였으며, 조씨와 이 여성은 부부였고 아이는 이들 부부의 아들이었다.

신고는 인근 병원 의료진이 했다. 현지 언론에 따르면 해당 태권도장을 운영하는 한인 사범 유모씨가 이날 새벽 팔과 몸에 심각한 부상을 입고 피를 흘리며 병원을 찾았다. 그가 태권도장에서 다쳤다고 말하자 의료진은 경찰에 신고했고, 경찰이 현장과 집에서 가족의 시신을 차례로 발견했다.

현지 언론 데일리텔레그래프는 부부가 별거 중이었다고 보도했다. 또 유씨가 이 사건과 관련돼 있는지 경찰이 수사하고 있으며 아직까지는 혐의가 발견되지 않았다고 전했다.
