한국인 최초 여성 선장, 첫 여성 도선사 됐다

주인공은 한국인 최초 여성 선장에 이름을 올린 구슬(37) 선장.

부산해양수산청은 구 선장이 지난해 7월 수습 도선사 시험에 합격한 뒤 6개월간 실무수습을 거치고 도선사 시험에 합격해?27일부터 정식 도선사로 활동한다고?26일 밝혔다.

구 도선사는 한국해양대를 졸업한 뒤 국내 선사에서 항해사로 근무하고?2018년부터 외국 선사 선박에 선장으로 근무하면서 한국인 최초 여성 선장에 올랐다.

지난해 7월 도선수습생 전형시험(필기 및 면접)에 합격한 뒤 부산항에서 6개월간?200차례 이상 도선 실습을 받았고 최근 도선사 실기와 면접까지 한 번에 합격했다.

여성 도선사 탄생은 우리나라 해양교육기관에서 여성들에게 문호를 개방한 지?30여년 만이며, 도선사 시험제도가 생긴 이후 처음이다.

구 도선사는 이번에 국내항에 새로 배치된?26명의 신규 도선사 가운데 최연소 기록도 세웠다.

도선사는 무역항에 입·출항하는 선박이 안전하게 항로를 운항할 수 있도록 안내하는 전문 인력이다.

수천t이 넘는 무역선이나 초대형 컨테이너선 등에 탑승해 키를 잡고 부두에 접안하는 작업 등을 지휘한다.
