삼일절 연휴 기간 日 봄꽃여행 예약 3배 늘어…"개화 시기 빨라져"

기후 변화로 봄꽃 개화가 빨라지면서 삼일절 연휴에 국내, 해외 구분 없이 이른 봄여행을 떠나는 수요가 크게 늘어날 것으로 보인다.

28일 여기어때가 국내 및 해외숙소 체크인(3월 1일 기준) 수를 분석한 결과에 따르면 지난해 같은 기간보다 각각 6배, 3배 늘어난 것으로 나타났다.

국내는 대표적인 봄꽃 여행지의 약진이 두드러졌다. 통상 봄철 인기 여행지로 꼽히는 경주는 특히 체크인 수가 전년 대비 약 12배 증가했다.

지난해와 달리 올해는 사흘간 연휴가 이어지는 데다 경주 곳곳에서는 이미 봄꽃이 개화해 여행지로서의 매력이 높아졌다. 봄의 전령인 매화가 일찍 개화한 제주 역시 삼일절 체크인하는 고객은 전년 대비 2배 늘었다.

해외로 떠나는 여행객도 많아졌다. 엔화 약세로 여행 수요가 꾸준한 일본은 도시별로 최대 3배 가량 체크인 수가 증가했다. 후쿠오카 예약건수가 3배 늘었고 이어 오사카 2.9배 도쿄 2.4배 순으로 나타났다.

여기어때가 올 초 1월에 진행한 설문조사에 따르면 지난해 이어 올해도 일본 여행을 떠날 예정인 여행객 중 30%는 올해 3월을 재방문 시점으로 꼽았다.
